Weather Summary for the MidSouth
National Weather Service Memphis TN
5:55 PM CST Fri Dec 9 2016

Arctic high pressure has settled into the Mid-South with clear skies
and light winds leading to low temperatures in the upper teens to
lower 20s tonight.

The high will begin to shift east on Saturday. As a result, a
gradual warming trend is expected to occur over the weekend. Highs
will return to the 50s by Sunday. However, rain chances will
begin to occur on Sunday ahead of an approaching cold front. The
chances for rain will continue through Monday.

Not much of a cool down is expected behind the front as
highs will remain in the 50s. However, a reinforcing cold front
will move into the Mid-South on Wednesday. Arctic air will return
to the area behind this front. Small rain chances will occur ahead
of the front.
