HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY
MORNING. THE SNOW AND SLEET THAT FELL ACROSS THE AREA EARLIER
TODAY WILL REFREEZE AND BECOME ICY AS TEMPERATURES FALL INTO THE
TEENS AFTER MIDNIGHT. MOTORISTS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR AREAS OF BLACK
ICE ON AREA ROADWAYS. ADDITIONALLY...MANY SECONDARY AND RURAL ROADS
REMAIN ICY AND SNOW-COVERED. PUMP YOUR BRAKES LIGHTLY TO AVOID
SKIDDING AND DRIVE DEFENSIVELY. ALLOW FOR EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR
DESTINATION AND AVOID ANY SUDDEN STOPS OR ACCELERATIONS.

TEMPERATURES WILL QUICKLY DROP INTO THE TEENS TO AROUND 20 DEGREES
AFTER MIDNIGHT. THIS WILL ALLOW AREAS OF SLUSH AND WATER TO REFREEZE
INTO ICE OVERNIGHT MAKING FOR SLIPPERY CONDITIONS ON ROADS AND
SIDEWALKS THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING. ANYONE PLANNING TO VENTURE OUT
SHOULD BE ALERT FOR AREAS OF ICE ESPECIALLY NEAR BRIDGES AND
OVERPASSES AS WELL AS ALONG SECONDARY ROADS.
