CONTINUE TO DEVELOP AND EXPAND IN COVERAGE AS THEY MOVE INTO AND
ACROSS THE WESTERN AND CENTRAL SOUTH PLAINS AND SOUTHWEST TEXAS
PANHANDLE. THE GREATEST THREAT WITH THIS ACTIVITY WILL BE LOCALLY
HEAVY RAINFALL THAT COULD RESULT IN STREET FLOODING AND FLOODING
OF LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREA. IN ADDITION...GUSTY WINDS AND
CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THE STRONGER
STORMS. MOTORISTS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR PONDING OF WATER ON
ROADWAYS.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP AND MOVE EASTWARD AROUND 25
MPH ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST TEXAS PANHANDLE AND MUCH OF THE ROLLING
PLAINS. THIS ACTIVITY WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN
THAT MAY RESULT IN STREET FLOODING AND FLOODING OF LOW LYING AND
POOR DRAINAGE AREA. IN ADDITION...GUSTY WINDS TO 50 MPH AND FREQUENT
CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THE STRONGER
STORMS THAT WILL AFFECT LOCATIONS FROM CHILDRESS SOUTHWARD THROUGH
PADUCAH...GUTHRIE... JAYTON AND ASPERMONT.. MOTORISTS SHOULD BE
ALERT FOR PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS AND SLOW DOWN ACCORDINGLY.
