...The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Arkansas...

...Forecast flooding changed from Moderate to Major severity for the
following rivers in Arkansas...

  White River At Augusta affecting White and Woodruff Counties

  White River At Des Arc affecting Prairie County

  White River At Clarendon affecting Arkansas and Monroe Counties


River forecasts are based on current conditions and rainfall
forecasted to occur over the next 48 hours. During periods of
flooding...Evening forecasts are reissued with updated rainfall
forecasts.

...Forecast flooding increased from Moderate to Major severity...
The Flood Warning continues for
 The White River At Augusta.
* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At  9:00 PM Friday the stage was 31.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 36.0 feet by
  Wednesday afternoon. This forecast is based off of heavy rainfall
  forecasted upstream this weekend. Please monitor latest forecasts
  for any updates.
* Impacts at 30.0 feet...Thousands of acres of farm ground flooded.
  County roads on both sides of the river are flooded, including
  County Road 871 and 899.
* Impacts at 32.0 feet...Thousands of acres of cropland and farm
  roads are flooded in White and Woodruff counties. Water is isolating
  homes and camps along the river in White and Woodruff counties.
* Impacts at 34.0 feet...Water around or approaching homes and camps
  along the river in White and Woodruff counties. Farm roads and county
  roads on both sides of the river are flooded.
* Impacts at 35.0 feet...Flood waters are rising towards lower lying
  sections of Augusta, Bradford, and Russell. Homes and camps along
  U.S. Highway 64 and along Taylor Bay are flooded or isolated. Farm
  and county roads are flooded in White and Woodruff counties.
* Impacts at 36.0 feet...Major flood level begins. Areas along Taylor
  Bay flooded. Some homes flooded at this level.

The Flood Warning continues for
 The White River At Des Arc.
* from late Monday night until further notice...or until the warning
  is cancelled.
* At  9:00 PM Friday the stage was 19.5 feet.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Tuesday morning and continue
  to rise to near 30.5 feet by Sunday, May 7th. This forecast is
  based off of heavy rainfall forecasted upstream this weekend.
  Please monitor latest forecasts for any updates.
* Impacts at 21.0 feet...Minor flooding of farmlands within the levees.
* Impacts at 24.0 feet...Many acres of farmland flooded within the
  levees. Water is backing up Bayou Des Arc and Cypress Bayou.
* Impacts at 30.0 feet...Numerous county roads and bridges inundated.
  Many dollars in damages in Prairie County. Extensive farmland and
  timberland flooded. Backwater flooding of Wattensaw Bayou and Bayou
  Des Arc. Patrolling of Kitty Barnes Levee on East Bank begins.

The Flood Warning continues for
 The White River At Clarendon.
* from Monday evening until further notice...or until the warning is
  cancelled.
* At 9:00 PM Friday the stage was 23.6 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Monday and continue to rise
  to near 30.5 feet by Tuesday, May 9th. This forecast is based off of
  heavy rainfall forecasted upstream this weekend. Please monitor
  latest forecasts for any updates.
* Impacts at 26.0 feet...River flows in many side channels and creates
  islands between the river and sloughs and creeks. Flooding of
  cropland and timber is occurring. Portions of the National Wildlife
  Refuge downstream of Clarendon flooding.
* Impacts 28.0 feet...Closure of specific flood prone regions as
  determined by Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Some of this area
  may include the Mike Freeze Wattensaw WMA...Benson Creek Natural
  Area WMA and the Sheffield Nelson Dagmar WMA.
* Impacts at 30.0 feet...Clarendon storm sewer should be closed to
  keep river from backing up outflow pipe. Extensive flooding in the
  delta. Most cropland and timber in bottoms are flooded. Much of the
  National Wildlife Refuge land downstream of Clarendon will be
  flooded.
