THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR A LARGE PART OF ARKANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

WIDESPREAD PRECIPITATION WILL DISSIPATE AS THE MORNING PROGRESSES.
MEANWHILE...A COLD FRONT WILL PUSH THROUGH ARKANSAS FROM THE WEST.
ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS MAY REDEVELOP THIS
AFTERNOON...MAINLY IN THE EASTERN HALF OF THE STATE. A STORM OR TWO
COULD BECOME SEVERE...WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS THE MAIN
CONCERNS.

ANY STORMS IN THE EAST WILL DISSIPATE THIS EVENING...WITH CLEARING
EXPECTED OVERNIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

THE FRONT THAT PUSHED THROUGH THE STATE ON WEDNESDAY WILL STALL NEAR
THE LOUISIANA BORDER ON THURSDAY. THE FRONT WILL BEGIN DRIFTING BACK
TO THE NORTH FRIDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT...AND WILL BECOME ACTIVE.
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BECOME LIKELY ACROSS THE
REGION.

WHILE THERE WILL BE AREAS OF HEAVY RAIN...ESPECIALLY IN SOUTHWEST
ARKANSAS...ANY SEVERE WEATHER SHOULD STAY OVER THE SOUTHERN PLAINS.

ON SATURDAY...A NEW STORM SYSTEM WILL ARRIVE FROM THE WEST...WITH
ONE MORE ROUND OF THUNDERSTORMS. HEAVY RAIN AND SEVERE STORMS WILL
BE POSSIBLE...MAINLY SOUTH OF LITTLE ROCK TO THE GULF COAST.

THROUGH SATURDAY...TWO TO FOUR INCHES OF RAIN COULD FALL ACROSS THE
SOUTHERN COUNTIES...WITH FLASH FLOODING POSSIBLE.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NECESSARY IN EASTERN ARKANSAS THIS
AFTERNOON AND EVENING...AND AGAIN SATURDAY IN SOUTHERN
SECTIONS OF THE STATE.
