THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR A LARGE PART OF ARKANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A WIND ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT TODAY FOR STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS
THAT WILL SPREAD ACROSS THE STATE BEGINNING SHORTLY AFTER
DAYBREAK. WIDESPREAD WIND GUSTS OF 30-35 MPH ARE EXPECTED
TODAY...WITH SOME AREAS SEEING GUSTS OF 40 MPH OR POSSIBLY A
LITTLE MORE. THE MOST LIKELY AREAS FOR THE STRONGER WIND GUSTS
WOULD BE IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN IN NORTHERN AND WESTERN
ARKANSAS...AS WELL AS THE DELTA REGION OF EASTERN ARKANSAS SOUTH
OF INTERSTATE 40.

IN ADDITION TO THE STRONG WINDS...FIRE DANGER LEVELS WILL BE HIGH
TODAY. VEGETATION IS QUITE DRY AND SOIL MOISTURE IS LOW AS WELL.
THIS COMBINED WITH THE STRONG WINDS...WILL CREATE FAVORABLE
CONDITIONS FOR RAPID FIRE GROWTH. PLEASE REFER TO THE FIRE DANGER
STATEMENT /LITRFDLZK/ FOR FURTHER DETAILS ON THE FIRE DANGER.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED.
