...Markesan June 14 Wind Damage...

After reviewing aerial damage survey video, radar data and a spotter
video near the time of the damage, it has been determined that the
wind damage from east of Markesan from last Wednesday (June 14th)
was from a microburst or potentially a gustnado with peak wind
speeds reaching 70 mph.  There is a small path of damage along
County Rd S and A east of Markesan, but the tree damage appears to
be pushed down rather than lofted. Looking back at radar from the
Milwaukee and Green Bay offices shows that there wasn`t rotation or
lofted debris at that location either.  Thank you to the Green Lake
County Emergency Management group for the great detail of
information supplied to make this determination.

This keeps the state of Wisconsin tornado count at 15 as of this
