.DISCUSSION...

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to move into central and
north central South Dakota late this afternoon and continue on over
into west central Minnesota by early Monday morning. While in
central and north central South Dakota, a few of these storms could
become severe with the main threats being quarter to half dollar
sized hail and wind gusts between 60 and 70 mph. After a dry day on
Monday, more chances for rain and thunderstorms show up Monday night
through the day on Tuesday.

Southeast winds this evening will switch to the north-northwest
throughout the night as a cold front sweeps through the region.
These northwest winds will persist on Monday. Afternoon relative
humidity on Monday is not expected to drop off much past 45 to 55
percent.
