...Flood Potential Outlook for main stem river flooding on rivers
and streams in the following counties in California...Siskiyou and
in Oregon...Coos...Curry...Josephine...

.Forecast heavy rainfall through Thursday will cause rapid
rises in streams and rivers as well as flash flooding over burn
scars. The greatest potential for this will occur between
Wednesday evening and Thursday night. People recreating near
rivers should pay attention to rapid rises in rivers. People
driving near burn scars should be aware of possible flash flooding
and debris flows.

Forecast rain accumulations are upwards of 6.5 inches in the
coastal mountains in Oregon, and up to 7 inches in the
Siskiyou mountains in California.

A flood potential outlook is issued when there is the potential for
significant rises or flooding along rivers and streams.

This product will be updated as more information becomes available.

The exact scenario for flooding remains uncertain but flooding is
possible. At the very least, quick rises are expected on area
streams, creeks and rivers. Watches and warnings will be issued by
the National Weather Service if this situation worsens.
