Flood Advisory
National Weather Service Boise ID
422 PM MST FRI JAN 13 2017

Payette ID-Malheur OR-
422 PM MST FRI JAN 13 2017

The National Weather Service in Boise has extended the

* Flood Advisory for...
  An Ice Jam in...
Northwestern Payette County in southwestern Idaho...
Northeastern Malheur County in southeastern Oregon...

* Until 1130 PM MST Monday

* An ice jam on the Snake River continues to cause elevated water
levels on the river near Ontario and Payette. The threat of
lowland flooding along the river near these locations is expected
  to continue through the weekend.

* Residents living near the Snake River...and near the Snake River
and Payette River confluence should monitor river conditions and
be prepared for changing river levels. Ice jams can cause water to
back-up into low lying areas and affect private property and
structures along the river. If an ice jam suddenly breaks, rapid
rises in water can occur downstream.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
