.NOW...
WIDESPREAD SHOWERS CONTINUE TO FALL ACROSS CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN
DELAWARE AND THE SOUTHERN COASTAL PLAIN OF NEW JERSEY. A FEW OF
THE SHOWERS HAVE DROPPED QUITE A BIT OF RAIN IN A SHORT PERIOD OF
TIME. RADAR ESTIMATES INDICATED THAT MOST OF THE HOURLY RAINFALL
RATES WERE IN THE 0.25 TO 0.50 INCH RANGE, BUT A FEW OF THE
ESTIMATES WERE AROUND 1.00 INCH. THESE TYPE OF HOURLY RAINFALL
RATES COULD PRODUCE SOME LOW LYING OR POOR DRAINAGE FLOODING,
ESPECIALLY ACROSS CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY SHORE
COMMUNITIES EXTENDING FROM LONG BEACH ISLAND SOUTH TO CAPE MAY,
DELAWARE BAY COMMUNITIES, AND DELAWARE BEACH COMMUNITIES.
