Area Weather Outlook
National Weather Service Eastern ND/Grand Forks
1104 PM CST Sat Feb 18 2017

There is a good chance for rain showers to develop late Sunday night
and to become more widespread on Monday...with an embedded
thunderstorm or two also possible.

All this warm weather and any rainfall will hasten the melting of of
our snowpack across the north country...and push whatever melt water
exists in the southern Red River Valley into areas streams and
rivers.

Expect to see rivers in the southern Valley to begin a slow thaw and
rise over the weekend... with rivers south of Fargo starting to move
towards minor flood stage throughout the coming week.

Later in the week...expect a cool down to near normal
temperatures...and a chance for some snow Thursday and Friday.
