High pressure moved east into Iowa overnight, increasing southerly
winds across western and north central Nebraska. The increased
southerly winds, pushed low level moisture into southwestern and
western Nebraska overnight, resulting in low cloudiness this
morning. Overnight lows ranged from 49 at O`Neill, to 61 at

For today, skies will clear across southwestern Nebraska by late
morning with mostly clear skies expected this afternoon. Highs
will range from the mid 80s in north central Nebraska, to the
lower 90s in the eastern Nebraska Panhandle and southwestern

Late this afternoon into the evening hours, an upper level trough
of low pressure will track into the Nebraska Panhandle, as well as
western and north central Nebraska. Thunderstorms will develop in
the eastern Nebraska Panhandle and will become more numerous as
they track east into central Nebraska. Strong to severe storms are
expected this evening with large hail and damaging winds possible.
Lows tonight will range from the middle 50s in the eastern
