Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
349 AM EDT Thu Apr 27 2017

Patchy fog and drizzle early this morning will transition to dry,
but mainly cloudy conditions as a weak upper level disturbance
moves away from the area. Some areas may see some breaks in the
clouds. Temperatures will be slightly above normal, with highs in
the middle 60s to lower 70s. Cooler conditions are expected along
the immediate coast.

Patchy fog and drizzle move back into the picture tonight, with a
chance of showers as a cold front approaches from the west. There
may even be a rumble of thunder. Lows will be on the warm side,
50s region-wide.

Showers and isolated thunderstorms continue Friday morning, but
end from west to east by the early afternoon as the cold front
weakens and pushes east. Temperatures will be above normal for
Friday, with highs in the 70s along the coast and upper 70s to
lower 80s north and west of New York City. Slightly warmer
temperatures are in store for the first half of the weekend.
