Weather Summary for the local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
415 PM EDT Thu Oct 27 2016

Low pressure develops over the region bringing rain for the first
half of tonight. The rain may be briefly heavy across eastern
Long Island before the rain ends from west to east late this
evening and into the overnight. Temperatures will gradually warm
through much of tonight into the 40s, with some lower 50s in New
York City.

Low pressure will move away into New England by Friday morning
with mostly clear to fair skies returning. A gusty northwesterly
wind will usher in cooler air once again. Temperatures will
average below normal with highs mostly in the lower and middle
50s. High pressure will build in for Friday night with seasonably
cool temperatures. Lows will range from the mid and upper 30s
inland, to the low and mid 40s for New York City and the coast.

Saturday will feature dry weather with temperatures turning
a touch warmer on a southwest wind. Clouds will begin to arrive
Saturday night ahead of the next disturbance. Areas north and west
of the city will have a slight chance of showers by late Saturday
