As a cold front moves east of the area tonight it will usher in
much colder air for Friday into the weekend. Lows tonight will
drop into the mid 20s across outlying areas, to the lower 30s in
New York City, with winds gusting to 20 to 30 miles per hour.

Gusty northwest winds will continue into the day on Friday, with
temperatures topping out only in the mid and upper 30s. In
addition, there will be a chance of snow showers during the day on
Friday, especially well north and west of the City, although
little to no accumulation is anticipated.

As skies clear Friday night, lows will drop to 20 to 25 across
much of the area, with 15 to 20 possible in typically colder
outlying locations. The cold conditions will continue on
Saturday, with highs in the mid and upper 30s and lows in the
20s, about 5 to 10 degrees below average for this time of year.
