...Accumulating Snow Begins During The Evening Commute In
Connecticut...Rhode Island and Southeast Massachusetts...

At 5 PM light snow was developing across southern Connecticut and
advancing to the northeast. Expect light snow to overspread the
remainder of southern and central portions of Connecticut into
Rhode Island and southeast Massachusetts through 7 pm. Snow will
then become steady and moderate for a time from about 8 pm to 11
pm with the northern edge of this accumulating snow into eastern
Connecticut to Providence to Plymouth, with snow accumulations of
an inch or two before tapering off from 11 pm to 1 am, again from
west to east.

Heavier snow accumulations of 2-4 inches is expected along the
south coast of RI and MA. There is some uncertainty how far north
this steadier and heavier band of snow will track. There is a low
probability it may move into the Greater Providence area eastward
into the route 44 corridor of southeast Massachusetts.

Regardless, given the cold temperatures it will only take a small
accumulation for untreated roads to quickly become snow covered
and slippery. Allow extra time to reach your destination and
exercise caution.
