...THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE SIERRA...

THUNDERSTORMS ARE DEVELOPING ACROSS THE SIERRA THIS AFTERNOON AND
WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THIS EVENING. MAIN CONCERNS WITH THESE
STORMS WILL BE LIGHTNING AND STRONG GUSTY OUTFLOW WINDS. WHILE
SOME STORMS MAY PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN...WINDS WILL BE CAPABLE
OF GUSTING BETWEEN 50 TO 60 MPH WITH SOME OF THE STRONGER STORMS.

HIKERS OR CAMPERS SHOULD SEEK SHELTER INSIDE A STURDY STRUCTURE
OR VEHICLE IF POSSIBLE. WE ADVISE THAT YOU HAVE A WAY TO RECEIVE
WEATHER ALERTS THROUGH THIS EVENING AS WELL AS TOMORROW IF YOU
PLAN ON BEING OUTSIDE IN THE SIERRA. THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL WILL
INCREASE FOR TOMORROW AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
