MOUNTAINS OF SAN BENITO COUNTY AND INTERIOR MONTEREY COUNTY

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE EAST BAY INTERIOR
VALLEYS...THE EAST BAY HILLS AND DIABLO RANGE...AS WELL AS THE
INLAND VALLEYS AND MOUNTAINS OF MONTEREY AND SAN BENITO COUNTIES.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

MUCH WARMER WEATHER WILL DEVELOP ON SUNDAY WITH AFTERNOON HIGHS
EXPECTED TO REACH INTO THE 90S...AND TO AROUND 100 IN SOME OF THE
WARMEST LOCATIONS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

VERY WARM TO HOT WEATHER IS FORECAST TO PERSIST IN THE INLAND
VALLEYS AND HILLS THROUGH MOST OF THE WEEK. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN
THESE AREAS WILL RANGE FROM THE MID 90S TO 107. A PROLONGED PERIOD
OF HOT WEATHER WILL POSE AT LEAST A MODERATE HEALTH RISK TO THOSE
SENSITIVE TO HEAT. MOST AT RISK TO THE IMPACTS OF HEAT ARE THOSE
WHO WORK OUTSIDE OR THOSE WHO LIVE IN HOMES WITHOUT AIR
CONDITIONING. ANYONE LIVING OR WORKING IN THESE AREAS ARE ADVISED
TO DRINK PLENTY OF WATER TO REMAIN HYDRATED AND TO TRY TO STAY OUT
OF THE SUN DURING THE WARMEST PART OF THE DAY. NEVER LEAVE
CHILDREN OR PETS IN PARKED VEHICLES.

IN ADDITION, THIS PROLONGED PERIOD OF HOT AND DRY WEATHER WILL
INCREASE FIRE DANGER ACROSS THESE AREAS.
