WITH INITIALLY MOSTLY CLEAR CONDITIONS AND LOWERING WINDS...THIS WILL HELP TEMPERATURES COOL MORE RAPIDLY. TONIGHT WILL BE SETTING UP TO BE A VERY CHILLY NIGHT AND ONE OF THE COLDEST NIGHTS OF THE SEASON THUS FAR. MOST LOWS WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 20S TO THE MID 30S WITH FROST LIKELY AS WELL IN AREAS OUTSIDE OF THE URBAN NEW YORK METROPOLITAN AREA. HIGH PRESSURE SHIFTS SOUTH OF THE REGION AND OFFSHORE MONDAY WITH A MORE SOUTHERLY FLOW DEVELOPING. HIGHS WILL REBOUND TO THE MID TO UPPER 50S...BUT THESE WILL STILL BE A FEW DEGREES BELOW NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. MUCH OF THE REMAINDER OF THE WORK WEEK LOOKS TO BE UNSETTLED WITH A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE SLOWLY MOVING INTO AND HOVERING NEAR THE REGION. BASICALLY...INCREASING CLOUDS MONDAY WILL LEAD TO AN INCREASING CHANCE OF SHOWERS MONDAY NIGHT AND LIKELY AT TIMES THEREAFTER THROUGH MIDWEEK WITHIN THE FORECAST REGION. LESS OF A DIURNAL TEMPERATURE RANGE WILL BE IN PLACE WITH TUESDAY BEING CLOSE TO NORMAL FOR HIGHS...LOWER 60S. THIS IS FORECAST TO BE THE WARMEST DAY THROUGH MIDWEEK. $$ JM
