Afternoon highs will be similar to Saturday with temps ranging from the upper 20s to low 30s. Overnight lows will be warmer as temps remain in the 20s due to a southwesterly wind. Light snow showers are possible overnight across western MA and CT ahead of an approaching warm front. Snow will likely switch over to mixed wintry precip by the afternoon hours due to warm air being pushed up from the south after the frontal passage. With a warmer airmass now being entrained into the region, near normal temperatures return to the region after a very long cold spell. Afternoon highs Monday will range in the mid to upper 30s, with the Cape and Islands reaching into the 40s. $$ LEC is the U.S. government's official web portal to all federal, state and local government web resources and services.
