...A brief period of 35 to 45 mph wind gusts are possible across
western MA and northern CT between 10 pm and 2 am...

A strong cold front will approach western MA and northern CT late
this evening. It remains uncertain how well a line of showers
developing to our west will hold together with the front. If a
solid line showers maintains itself, a brief period of wind gusts
of 35 to 45 mph will be possible between 10 pm and 2 am. This may
result in a few weakened trees being knocked down along with a
couple downed tree limbs and isolated power outages possible.
