...End of the 2017 Frost/Freeze Program for Central Vermont and
the St. Lawrence Valley of New York...

The National Weather Service will discontinue the frost/freeze
program for the following counties until the spring of 2018:

In New York:
Northern St. Lawrence
Southwestern St. Lawrence

In Vermont:
Eastern Franklin
Eastern Chittenden
Eastern Addison

The median date of the first fall freeze is October 1st for these
locations and we are two weeks passed that date without a hard
freeze. People living in elevated terrain or near lakes within
these areas who have not had a freeze may wish to monitor the
latest forecast for freezing temperatures.

We will continue to issue Frost/Freeze products for the Champlain
Valley of New York and Vermont until a hard freeze occurs, or
until 2 weeks after the date of the average first fall freeze.
