...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHEASTERN AROOSTOOK COUNTY...

At 630 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Madawaska Lake,
or 15 miles west of Van Buren, moving southeast at 25 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and dime size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Madawaska Lake, Cross Lake, New Sweden, Connor, Caswell, Stockholm,
Hamlin, Westmanland, Cyr Plantation, Sinclair, Guerette and Saint
Agatha.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
