Temperatures dropped into the 20s and lower 30s across most of New Hampshire and Western Maine last night. Widespread freezing temperatures were reported ,putting an end to the growing season. The following zones have now had widespread freezing temperatures: In New Hampshire... Northern Coos Southern Coos Northern Grafton Southern Grafton Northern Carroll Southern Carroll Sullivan Cheshire Belknap Merrimack Strafford Western Hillsborough Eastern Hillsborough Interior Rockingham In Western Maine... Northern Oxford Southern Oxford Northern Franklin Southern Franklin Central Somerset Southern Somerset Interior York Interior Cumberland Androscoggin ***NEW*** Interior Waldo Coastal Waldo Kennebec Sagadahoc Knox Coastal Cumberland The National Weather Service will no longer issue FREEZE WARNINGS or FROST ADVISORIES for these zones this year. People living in elevated terrain or near lakes within these zones who have not had a freeze may wish to monitor the latest forecast for freezing temperatures. Along the south coast and in York county in Maine and Rockingham county in New Hampshire...scattered areas of freezing temperatures were reported last night.
