AT 518 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER
LONG CREEK...OR ABOUT 7 MILES SOUTHWEST OF BURGAW...MOVING SOUTHWEST
AT 5 MPH. ANOTHER STRONG STORM WAS OVER THE COUNTY BOUNDARY BETWEEN
NEW HANOVER BRUNSWICK AND PENDER COUNTIES.

SOME LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE ASHTON...LONG CREEK...MONTAGUE AND
ST. HELENA.

HAZARDS INCLUDE...
PEA SIZE HAIL.
GUSTY WINDS OF 30 TO 40 MPH.
FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
HEAVY RAINFALL AND MINOR FLOODING.

THUNDERSTORMS CAN POSE A VARIETY OF THREATS INCLUDING GUSTY WINDS...
