Including the cities of Friona, Bovina, Farwell, Dimmitt, Hart,
Tulia, Silverton, Quitaque, Memphis, Childress, Muleshoe,
Littlefield, Olton, Plainview, Cedar Hill, Matador,
Roaring Springs, Paducah, Hackberry, Morton, Levelland, Lubbock,
Ralls, Crosbyton, Lorenzo, Spur, Dickens, Dumont, Finney, Grow,
Guthrie, Denver City, Plains, Brownfield, Tahoka, ODonnell,
Graham, Post, Jayton, and Aspermont

Through 11 AM, a broad area of rain will continue across the
northwestern Rolling Plains with lighter showers continuing across
the northwestern South Plains into the Texas Panhandle. Rainfall
amounts will be heaviest near Caprock Canyons State Park,
Silverton, Valley Schools, and Flomot where brief downpours could
produce between one half to one inch of additional rainfall.
Outside of these areas, any showers that occur will produce
rainfall amounts at or under one tenth of an inch per hour.
Occasional lightning may be heard with storms across the southern
Rolling Plains. Precipitation is likely to continue through the
morning as a slow moving low pressure system drifts east from over
Lubbock into Oklahoma through the day.
