A couple narrow bands of sleet, snow, and even perhaps rain, will
spread east across the western, central, and southwestern South
Plains late this afternoon. The most pronounced band will lie from
just south of Lehman to Whiteface, Levelland, Reese Center, and
perhaps into parts of Lubbock. Activity should gradually sag
southward during the late afternoon into the evening. Only a light
dusting is expected - mainly on grassy areas. Roads likely will
remain wet, though given how long since precipitation has fallen,
paved surfaces also could become slick.
