Patchy fog has developed across portions of the Potomac Highlands,
Central Virginia foothills, and northern Maryland early this
morning. This fog will likely become more widespread by dawn and
may be locally dense, reducing visibility to a few hundred yards
at times. Motorists should exercise extra caution, use low beam
headlights, and allow extra following distance.
