Weather Summary for the local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
335 PM EDT SUN JUN 26 2016

High pressure anchored just off the northeast coast will keep the
area dry tonight. Lows tonight will settle into the 60s in most
places, with some upper 50s in some of the cooler rural locations.

As the high drifts away to the east during Monday clouds will
begin to work in during the afternoon and evening, with the chance
of showers and a thunderstorm for western areas. A southerly flow
will usher in more humid air during Monday night and into Tuesday.
With the increase in humidity and a cold front drawing closer from
the west, the chance of showers and thunderstorms will increase
for Tuesday and Tuesday night.

Temperatures are expected to average close to normal through the
period. Daytime highs will range from the mid and upper 70s for
eastern coastal sections, with lower and mid 80s for western and
inland locations. Low temperatures are expected to be primarily in
the 60s.
