WEATHER SUMMARY FOR SOUTHEASTERN NY...NORTHEASTERN NJ AND
SOUTHERN CT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW YORK NY
320 PM EDT SUN JUL 26 2015

LATE JULY HEAT AND HUMIDITY WILL CONTINUE TO BE THE RULE RATHER
THEN THE EXCEPTION AS WE FINISH THE WEEKEND AND BEGIN A NEW WEEK.
THE LOCAL REGION IS POSITIONED BETWEEN TWO AREAS OF HIGH PRESSURE.
ONE IS PARKED OVER THE WESTERN ATLANTIC...AND THE OTHER IS NEARLY
STATIONARY OVER THE GREAT LAKES. RIGHT IN BETWEEN...THERE LIES A
NEARLY STATIONARY FRONT. THIS FRONT WILL PRIMARILY STAY TO OUR
WEST...ALLOWING THE WESTERN ATLANTIC HIGH TO DOMINATE THE AIRMASS.

THIS BERMUDA STYLE HIGH WILL KEEP A MOIST AND VERY WARM AIRMASS IN
PLACE AS WE START THE NEW WEEK...AND THIS WILL PERSIST INTO AT
LEAST THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK. WITH THE STATIONARY FRONT SO
CLOSE...IT IS LIKELY THAT SOME LOCATIONS WILL SEE OFF AND ON
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH THIS TIME FRAME.
