Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
314 PM EST Tue Dec 12 2017

In the wake of a cold frontal passage this evening, temperatures
will fall into the upper teens to mid 20s overnight tonight. At
the same time, northwest winds will increase and become gusty,
resulting in wind chills falling into the single digits to lower
teens by morning. Cold and blustery conditions will continue
during the day on Wednesday with gusts of 30-40 mph and
temperatures only rising into the low to mid 30s.

Clouds will increase Wednesday night as a weak low approaches the
area from the northwest. This will result in a chance of snow
overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning. Temperatures will
remain below normal, with lows Wednesday night ranging from the
mid teens to mid 20s and daytime highs on Thursday only rising
into the upper 20s to mid 30s. These temperatures are about 10
degrees below normal for mid December.
