Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
315 PM EDT Thu Aug 17 2017

A warm front approaches from the south tonight along with
increasing clouds and humidity levels. Showers and thunderstorms
are also possible, especially towards day break Friday. Lows
tonight will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s.

The warm front will move north of the region Friday morning.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely at any point on Friday, but
the best chance is in the afternoon and evening. Locally heavy
rainfall is also possible in any shower or thunderstorm. Clouds
and precipitation will help to hold temperatures down, mainly in
the 70s to lower 80s.

A cold front approaches from the west Friday evening and will
gradually move across the area through Saturday. This will bring
an end to the showers and thunderstorms and a return to mostly
clear skies.
