Weather Summary for the local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
351 PM EST Fri Jan 13 2017

Temperatures will drop to below normal levels tonight as Canadian
high pressure builds into the region. Expect lows to range from
the teens in the normally colder spots, to the middle 20s in and
around the New York City area. A northerly wind will diminish and
high clouds will lower and thicken overnight as a frontal system
to our southwest slowly moves toward the region.

Saturday will feature below normal temperatures, with highs only
in the lower 30s. There may be a passing flurry or light snow
shower under a mostly cloudy sky as the approaching frontal
system remains suppressed to our south. The best chance will be
across Long Island and New York City.

The end of the weekend will see temperature bounce back to near
normal levels with dry conditions anticipated. Temperatures on Martin
Luther King Jr. day will slightly above normal with continued dry
conditions.
