Weather Summary for the local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
516 AM EDT Fri Mar 17 2017

Building high pressure will result in a mostly sunny and brisk
day today, with gusty northwest winds. Temperatures should be
similar to those of Thursday, and still running about 10 degrees
below average.

A warm front will then slowly approach, bringing some light snow
and rain mainly to the New York City metropolitan area and points
west from very late tonight into most of Saturday. Low pressure
developing along the front over the Mid Atlantic region will then
pass to the south from Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning,
likely bringing a few inches of accumulating snow.
