AN AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD CLOSER TO THE REGION OVERNIGHT
FROM THE OHIO VALLEY. THE HIGH WILL HELP THE SKY CLEAR AS
TEMPERATURES DROP TO CHILLY LEVELS...TEENS IN THE NORTH AND WEST
SUBURBS AND 20S ELSEWHERE.

ABUNDANT SUNSHINE IS EXPECTED FRIDAY WITH THE AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE
OVERHEAD. TEMPERATURES WILL BE NEAR SEASONAL AVERAGES...IN THE
MIDDLE 30S.

THINGS WILL CHANGE AS WE HEAD INTO FRIDAY NIGHT. A STORM WILL HAVE
BEEN TAKING SHAPE ACROSS THE GULF COAST STATES DURING THE DAY
FRIDAY. THIS SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO MOVE UP ALONG THE COAST FRIDAY
NIGHT. PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP FROM SOUTH TO NORTH VERY
LATE FRIDAY NIGHT. THIS PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO START OUT AS
SNOW IN ALL AREAS IN THE PRE DAWN HOURS OF SATURDAY. SOME
ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED.

SHORTLY AFTER DAYBREAK...IT DOES APPEAR THE SNOW WILL CHANGE TO A
MIX OF PRECIPITATION TYPES. THIS DOES INCLUDE SOME FREEZING RAIN.
SLIPPERY DRIVING CONDITIONS SHOULD BE ANTICIPATED SATURDAY. WELL
AWAY FROM THE COAST...THE SNOW WILL HOLD ON LONGER.

AS THE SYSTEM MOVES AWAY FROM THE REGION SATURDAY EVENING...SOME
COLDER AIR WILL MOVE BACK INTO THE AREA FROM THE NORTH. THERE WILL
BE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL AREAS TO SEE SNOW BEFORE THE PRECIPITATION
TAPERS OFF WELL BEFORE MIDNIGHT.
