Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
410 AM EDT Mon Oct 16 2017

Showers will taper off from west to east this morning in the wake
of a cold frontal passage. A Canadian air mass will settle in on
gusty northwest winds today, holding temperatures in the upper 50s
to lower 60s.

The coldest airmass of the Fall season so far will be ushered in
tonight. Frosty conditions are expected across far outlying areas
as temperatures drop into the lower to mid 30s. Meanwhile, lows
within the New York City and New Jersey metro area will hold in
the middle 40s.

Tuesday will feature plenty of sunshine and weaker winds, but
temperatures will still remain slightly below seasonable. High
pressure will remain over the region into mid-week, keeping
conditions dry, with moderating temperatures.
