CLOUDS WILL INCREASE OVERNIGHT AHEAD OF A FRONTAL SYSTEM
APPROACHING FROM THE WEST. THIS SYSTEM WILL GRADUALLY SPREAD RAIN
ACROSS THE LOCAL AREA FROM WESTERN NEW JERSEY TOWARDS LONG ISLAND
AND CONNECTICUT THROUGH THE DAY ON WEDNESDAY. THE RAIN MAY NOT
REACH LONG ISLAND OR SOUTHEAST CONNECTICUT UNTIL LATE AFTERNOON.
THE RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE EAST WEDNESDAY NIGHT WITH A COLD
FRONT AND SHOULD CLEAR ALL BUT EASTERN LONG ISLAND BY THURSDAY
MORNING. TEMPERATURES WILL RISE INTO THE MID TO UPPER 50S AREA-
WIDE ON WEDNESDAY.

THE COLD FRONT IS EXPECTED TO STALL OFFSHORE THURSDAY AFTERNOON
AND A WEAK WAVE OF LOW PRESSURE COULD SPREAD SOME SNOW ACROSS
EASTERN SECTIONS THURSDAY NIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE THEN BUILDS IN FOR
FRIDAY INTO THE WEEKEND. HIGHS WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 40S TO
NEAR 50 ON THURSDAY BEFORE DROPPING TO AROUND 40 FOR FRIDAY AS
COLD AIR CONTINUES TO FILTER INTO THE REGION. OVERNIGHT LOWS
DURING THIS PERIOD WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 20S TO LOW 30S.
