High pressure builds over the area through tonight, then slowly
slides offshore and weakens through Friday. The result will be fair
weather with unseasonably warm temperatures for this time of year.

Highs today will run mainly in the middle to upper 80s, some 10 to
15 degrees above normal. Lows tonight should be around 5 to 10
degrees above normal, mainly in the 50s, except in the 60s in urban
areas. It will be slightly cooler on Thursday, but still rather warm
for mid September, with highs around 10 degrees above normal. Friday
should see highs within a degree or so of those on Thursday.
