Dry but gusty northwest winds will continue through Friday as low
pressure over the Canadian Maritimes tracks northeast away from
the region. Temperatures will be slightly below normal tonight
for this time of year, ranging from the teens inland to the middle
20s in the New York City metro area. Highs will be near normal on
Friday, in the upper 30s to around 40.

The tri-state will undergo a warming trend for the weekend as
high pressure transitions offshore and winds become more southerly
Friday night into Saturday. Saturday will see highs well into the
50s for a majority of the area, with 60 possible across portions
of northeast New Jersey. Cooler readings can be expected along the
coast. The warmth may spread to the coast for Sunday with offshore
