Regional Weather Summary for Southeastern NY, Northeastern NJ and
Southern CT
National Weather Service New York NY
338 PM EDT SAT MAY 21 2016

Showers will continue to overspread the area through the evening
as an area of low pressure tracks well south and east of Long
Island. The best chance for precipitation will be across portions
of northeast New Jersey, NYC, and Long Island. Although skies will
remain mostly cloudy, the majority of the area should remain dry
on Sunday as the low exits to the east. The exception to this will
be over portions of the Hudson Valley, where showers may redevelop
in the afternoon. Highs on Sunday will be near to a few degrees
below normal, in the upper 60s and lower 70s.

The weather for the start of the new work week will be dominated
by an upper level low. This will result in mostly cloudy skies
and scattered showers on both Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures
during this time will continue to run a few degrees below normal,
with highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s and lows in the 50s.
