National Weather Service New York NY
501 AM EST Wed Feb 14 2018

Precipitation of light wintry mix for at or below freezing
locations to light rain in the locations above freezing will end
this morning. More sun expected for the afternoon with high
pressure briefly moving across. Southwest flow becomes gusty and
will allow for a mild day with highs in the upper 40s to near 50.

Ahead of a low pressure trough and warm front tonight, some rain
can be expected. This warming trend will continue into Thursday
with a warmer airmass building in behind a warm front. Highs are
forecast getting well into the 50s and even low to mid 60s for
New York City and urban Northeast New Jersey. A cold front then
approaches, moving across Friday, bringing ahead and along it
another round of rainfall Thursday night into Friday. Behind the
front will be a relatively cooler airmass.
