Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
421 AM EDT Sun Jul 16 2017

High pressure will make for minimal clouds today and tonight. A
frontal system approaches for Monday but weakens with time, which
will make it slow down. Some showers and thunderstorms will be
possible Monday into Monday night, but mainly north and west of
New York City. The showers and thunderstorms are forecast again on
Tuesday and then could traverse further southeast into New York
City and getting farther into Southern Connecticut.

Otherwise, there will be continued dry weather but the airmass
will gradually become more humid. Daytime temperatures will
continue to be well into the 80s, getting into the upper 80s for
some locations today and Tuesday with highs relatively cooler by a
few degrees for Monday.
