High pressure just off the coast will drift farther out to sea
tonight. as low pressure approaches from the Central Appalachians
late tonight. This will spread clouds across the area from the
southwest to northeast after midnight. Temperatures will average
close to normal tonight, with lows ranging from the 40s in most
outlying areas, with mid 50s across New York City.

Low pressure will redevelop off the Mid Atlantic coast and move
northeast during Saturday, bringing rainfall to the region. The
steadiest rain will fall late Saturday afternoon and Saturday
evening. The rain will taper to showers later Saturday night. With
the low tracking southeast of the region, the higher rainfall
totals are expected across Long Island and nearby areas.

Clouds will linger on Sunday, with a chance of showers. Daytime
temperatures will average a few degrees below average this
weekend, while nighttime degrees will be closer to average.
