Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
336 PM EDT Thu Oct 12 2017

High pressure centered to the north of the region will move
southeast tonight through Friday, moving southeast of Nova Scotia
Friday night. The high will continue to drift out into the North
Atlantic Waters for the weekend. Dry conditions along with a
gradual warmup in temperatures can be expected over the next few
days.

However, a warm front will be approaching the region from the
west Friday night into Saturday, which could result in some
drizzle or light rain. The warm front eventually moves across by
Sunday. Some more light rain or perhaps drizzle will be possible
again Saturday night into early Sunday. Despite this, the region
will continue to see a forecast warming trend to temperatures this
weekend with high pressure staying offshore, giving the region
more southwest flow.
