Weather Summary for the local Tri-State Region

High pressure over the Tennessee Valley will spread east into the
Tri-State area this weekend. Hot and humid conditions on tap for
today with high temperatures approaching 100 degrees in some
spots of New York City and coastal portions of northeast New
Jersey. A Heat Advisory remains in effect for those areas. For
the rest of the region, highs will top off in the low to mid 90s,
but the heat index will feel several degrees warmer than that.

A weak cold front passes through the region tonight. Not expecting
precipitation with its passage, but it will be quite warm and
muggy, with temperatures in the upper 70s across New York City and
in the 60s to low 70s elsewhere.

High pressure continues to build east on Sunday. Temperatures will
not as hot, as highs will range from the upper 80s to low 90s, but
the heat index will feel several degrees warmer than that.
