HIGH PRESSURE SLIDES FARTHER OFFSHORE TODAY AND TONIGHT AS A
COLD FRONT APPROACHES FROM THE WEST...WITH CONTINUED WARM
AND HUMID CONDITIONS ACROSS THE TRI-STATE. HIGHS TODAY WILL RUN 5 TO
10 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL...AND LOWS TONIGHT 10 TO 15 DEGREES ABOVE
NORMAL.

THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR SCATTERED TO POSSIBLY NUMEROUS SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE LOWER HUDSON
VALLEY...NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY AND SOUTHWESTERN CONNECTICUT THIS
AFTERNOON AND EVENING...WITH A SLIGHT CHANCE OF STORMS IN
IMMEDIATELY ADJACENT AREAS. STORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING
COULD PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL...IN ADDITION SOME COULD BE
STRONG TO POSSIBLY SEVERE.

THERE IS A CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS ON THURSDAY AHEAD OF A COLD
FRONT...IT WILL BE QUITE WARM AS WELL WITH HIGHS AROUND 10 TO 15
DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. IT WILL TURN COOLER AND NOTICEABLY LESS HUMID
BEHIND THE FRONT...WITH HIGHS ON FRIDAY AROUND 10 DEGREES COOLER
THAN ON THURSDAY.
