Weather Summary for the local Tri-State Region

A cold front approaches the region today and moves across the
region this evening. Expecting another very warm day today with
highs well into the 80s for much of the region with more of a
light southwest to west flow and ample sunshine. Again these
temperatures will average near 10 to 15 degrees above normal.

The cold front will bring some associated showers and a few
thunderstorms will be possible as well along the front and behind
it for later tonight. Not much rain is expected with this.

A cooler and drier airmass settles into the region for the
upcoming weekend as strong high pressure from Southeast Canada
gradually builds in.
