AN INCREASING LIKELIHOOD FOR RAIN EXISTS TONIGHT AS A FRONTAL
SYSTEM APPROACHES THE REGION. THERE MAY EVEN BE A PASSING
THUNDERSTORM LATE TONIGHT.

COOL TEMPERATURES AND PERIODS OF RAIN ARE IN THE FORECAST ON
TUESDAY FOR MUCH OF THE AREA AS THE FRONTAL SYSTEM STAYS SOUTH OF
THE AREA. HIGHS WILL ONLY BE IN THE UPPER 40S AND LOWER 50S ACROSS
MUCH OF CONNECTICUT AND LONG ISLAND...WITH 50S TO NEAR 60 IN
NORTHEASTERN NEW JERSEY. THERE IS A BETTER CHANCE OF SEEING A
THUNDERSTORM IN THE AFTERNOON...MAINLY ACROSS LONG ISLAND...NEW
YORK CITY METRO REGION AND NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY.

DRYING CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TUESDAY NIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE
BUILDS IN FOR WEDNESDAY WITH SEASONABLE TEMPERATURES.
