MAINLY BE DRY UNTIL RAIN DEVELOPS OVER NEW YORK CITY AND PARTS OF
NEW JERSEY LATER THIS AFTERNOON AS A WARM FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH
DEVELOPING LOW PRESSURE OVER THE MID-ATLANTIC LIFTS TO THE NORTH.
THAT RAIN SPREADS TO THE EAST TONIGHT. ACROSS PARTS OF THE
INTERIOR...SURFACE TEMPERATURES WILL BE SLOW TO RISE ABOVE
FREEZING...SO FREEZING RAIN IS LIKELY FOR MUCH OF TONIGHT. A
FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR ORANGE COUNTY DUE TO THE
POTENTIAL FOR LIGHT ICE ACCUMULATIONS TONIGHT.

TEMPERATURES SLOWLY RISE DURING THE OVERNIGHT AS THAT WARM FRONT
LIFTS NORTH. LOW PRESSURE MOVES NORTH THROUGH THE REGION TUESDAY
AND TUESDAY NIGHT...KEEPING RAIN IN THE FORECAST.

WITH ABUNDANT LOW LEVEL MOISTURE ACROSS THE AREA AND A STRONG
COLD FRONT APPROACHING FROM THE WEST...RAIN CONTINUES ON CHRISTMAS
EVE...AND MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES. RAIN TAPERS OFF BY CHRISTMAS
MORNING...BUT GUSTY WESTERLY WINDS DEVELOP IN ITS WAKE.
