Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
403 AM EDT Sat May 27 2017

A series of weak lows will pass to the south through Monday, as high
pressure slowly builds down from Southeastern Canada.

Today should be mainly dry, though a stray shower over the New York
City Metro cannot be ruled out this afternoon. Otherwise, today will
see intervals of clouds and sunshine with near normal temperatures.

Onshore flow develops tonight and continues through Monday. There
could be some drizzle late tonight and Sunday morning as a result.
However, most of Sunday should be dry. Light rain is expected to
develop from southwest to northeast over the region from Sunday
night into Monday morning. A passing upper level disturbance will
trigger showers, with some embedded thunderstorms Memorial Day. The
onshore flow will have sky conditions mostly cloudy at best for
most, if not all the Tri-State Sunday and Memorial will run 5 to 10
degrees below normal both days, mainly in the 60s across the region.
