The region will continue to be in between high pressure gradually
building from the west and Post Tropical Cyclone Jose, which will
slowly weaken as it meanders well to the southeast of Long Island
through the weekend.

The cloud cover and wind will gradually decrease from west to east
into the weekend. Today will be the cloudiest and breeziest day, and
all areas should be sunny with light winds on Sunday. With the
exception of some lingering showers into this evening over eastern
Suffolk and New London Counties, it should be dry through Sunday as

Temperatures will warm through Sunday. Highs today will run around 5
degrees above normal today and lows tonight around 10 degrees above
normal. Highs Saturday and Sunday should run around 10-15 degrees
above normal. It would not be surprising if a few locations in urban
Northeast New Jersey reached the 90 degree mark on Sunday.
