Tropical cyclone Jose will continue to slowly move north toward
the region today. The outer rain bands from Jose will move across
eastern sections this morning and move further northwest into the
afternoon. The rain will be heavy where bands from Jose set up,
which will be mainly across eastern Long Island and southeastern
Connecticut. The winds will gust above 30 mph at times, with some
gusts approaching tropical storm force across far eastern
sections late this afternoon into tonight.

Rain will taper off by Wednesday afternoon, with dry conditions
thereafter. The winds will diminish across the region,
especially across eastern sections for Wednesday afternoon and
evening.
