Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
452 AM EST Mon Jan 15 2018

A high pressure ridge along the coast will weaken today as weak
low pressure approaches from the Great Lakes region. Today will
remain cold and dry, with maritime clouds spreading in from the
east.

The approaching low will likely bring some light snow on Tuesday,
especially to areas north and west of New York City where an inch
or two of accumulation may occur by evening. As another weak low
forms just off the Mid Atlantic coast, snow should then spread
eastward into the rest of the area Tuesday night into Wednesday,
with lighter accumulations toward the coast and moderate
accumulations inland.
