Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
457 AM EST Sat Nov 11 2017

The cold airmass in the region will remain as Canadian high
pressure remains in the area. The winds will gradually lighten
today and will lead to a good radiational cooling night tonight as
winds remain light and the sky will remain mostly clear.
Temperatures will continue to be well below normal, with highs
staying mostly in the mid to upper 30s today and lows from the
lower teens to lower 30s tonight.

Clouds increase more in coverage Sunday into Sunday night as high
pressure moves northeast into the North Atlantic with an
approaching wave of low pressure to the west. The airmass will
moderate with temperatures on a rising trend compared to the first
half of the weekend with highs more in the 40s Sunday.

The next chance for showers will be Sunday night into Monday as
the wave of low pressure moves across. Some of this could be more
in the form of snow showers north and west of New York City with
temperatures near and below freezing.
