SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT WILL CREATE
WARM AND FAIRLY HUMID CONDITIONS TODAY. HIGHS WILL REACH THE UPPER
80S FOR MUCH OF THE THE TRI-STATE...WITH LOWER 90S IN THE NEW YORK
CITY METRO AREA. COMBINED WITH THE HUMID CONDITIONS...IT WILL FEEL
LIKE THE MIDDLE 90S IN SOME SPOTS IN THE METRO AREA. THERE WILL ALSO
BE A CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THAT WILL SPREAD FROM
NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST AFTER NOON. SOME OF THESE STORMS MAY BE
STRONG...WITH HEAVY RAIN...GUSTY WINDS...AND SMALL HAIL.

THE CHANCES FOR RAIN WILL DECREASE LATE TUESDAY NIGHT...WITH THE
AREA BECOMING MAINLY DRY AROUND DAYBREAK. THERE MAY BE A STRAY
SHOWER ACROSS LONG ISLAND AND SOUTHEASTERN CT. TEMPERATURES WILL
REMAIN WARM...UPPER 60S TO MIDDLE 70S.

TEMPERATURES WILL COOL TO MORE SEASONABLE LEVELS TOWARDS THE END OF
THE WEEK...WITH UNSETTLED CONDITIONS CONTINUING INTO MID WEEK AS THE
COLD FRONT STALLS NEAR THE AREA.
