Warm conditions continue today as westward extension of Bermuda
high pressure remains in control. Highs away from the coast will
be in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Cooler temperatures in the
upper 70s and lower 80s are forecast near the coast. A few showers
and storms are possible north and west of New York City this

The high moves offshore tonight as a cold front approaches from
the west. Tropical moisture will move into the region setting the
stage for widespread showers late tonight into Monday. Locally
heavy rainfall is possible in any of the showers. A few rumbles of
thunder cannot be ruled out. Temperatures on Monday will be
closer to normal levels in the 70s.

The rain will taper off from west to east late Monday into Monday
