Tropical cyclone Jose will continue to slowly move north toward
the region tonight. Skies will remain mainly cloudy for the city
and the coast, with an increase in clouds for far northwestern
locations. Continued humid tonight with lows primarily in the 60s.

The outer rain bands from Jose will move across eastern sections
towards daybreak on Tuesday and move further northwest into the
morning and afternoon. The rain will be heavy where bands from
Jose set up, which will be mainly east of New York City. The winds
will gust above 30 mph at times, with some gusts approaching
tropical storm force across far eastern sections late Tuesday
afternoon into Tuesday night.

The heavier bands of rain will move east of Eastern Long Island
and Eastern Connecticut during late Wednesday morning. The winds
will diminish across the region, especially across eastern
sections for Wednesday afternoon and evening.
