HIGH PRESSURE CENTERED OVER EASTERN CANADA BUILDS IN FROM THE
NORTHWEST TODAY INTO EARLY THURSDAY. THE HIGH MOVES OFF THE
NORTHEASTERN COAST LATE THURSDAY AS A LOW APPROACHES FROM THE OHIO
VALLEY. THIS LOW WILL PASS SOUTH OF LONG ISLAND THURSDAY NIGHT.

A COOL AIRMASS WILL BE IN PLACE TODAY WITH CLEARING SKIES AS THE
HIGH BUILDS. WINDS WILL BE LIGHT AND HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL PEAK
IN THE MID 50S ALONG THE COAST TO THE LOWER 60S ELSEWHERE.

TONIGHT...WITH THE HIGH IN CONTROL...SKIES WILL BE CLEAR AND THE
WINDS NEAR CALM. THIS WILL ALLOW TEMPERATURES TO FALL TO NEAR
FREEZING AT SOME INLAND LOCATIONS AND INTO THE MID 30S ACROSS
MUCH OF CONNECTICUT AND NORTHEASTERN NEW JERSEY. ALONG THE COAST
AND IN METROPOLITAN NEW YORK LOWS WILL BE IN THE LOWER TO MID
40S.

CLOUDS INCREASE THURSDAY WITH THE APPROACH OF LOW PRESSURE AND
THERE WILL BE A CHANCE FOR LIGHT RAIN BY THE AFTERNOON ACROSS
WESTERN LONG ISLAND INTO SOUTHWESTERN CONNECTICUT AND ACROSS
NORTHEASTERN NEW JERSEY AND THE LOWER HUDSON VALLEY. HIGHS WILL
REACH THE MID TO UPPER 50S. THE CHANCE OF LIGHT RAIN WILL CONTINUE
INTO THURSDAY NIGHT.
