Weather Summary for the local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
321 PM EST Sun Jan 15 2017

High pressure centered over the area tonight will result in ideal
radiational cooling conditions with clear skies and light winds.
This will result in a wide range of overnight temperatures, with
lows falling into the upper 20s in the city and in the low to mid
teens across outlying areas. Dry and sunny conditions will
continue into the day on Monday as the high sinks south of the
area. Highs on Monday will be around 40 area-wide.

Clouds will begin to increase Monday night as an area of low
pressure approaches from the west. Rain will overspread the area
during the day on Tuesday, possibly starting as a period of
freezing rain Tuesday morning. The best chance for any freezing
rain will be north and west of New York City across parts of
northeast New Jersey and the Lower Hudson Valley. Highs on Tuesday
will range from the mid 30s inland to near 40 closer to the coast.
