Weather Summary for the local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
429 AM EST Tue Dec 6 2016

High pressure will build over the area this morning, then drift
into northern New England this afternoon. This will allow for a
sunny start to the day, followed by increasing clouds from south
to north as the day progresses.

Low pressure will develop over the Southeast late today, then
deepen off of Cape Hatteras tonight, before tracking out to sea on
Wednesday. The low pressure system looks to be expansive enough to
bring some precipitation to the area tonight into Wednesday.
Although the bulk of the precipitation will fall as rain, some
snow is possible north and west of the City, particularly on the
higher elevations.
