Weather Summary for the local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
346 PM EST Mon Dec 5 2016

High pressure will build into the region tonight, providing mainly
clear skies and seasonable temperatures. As high begins to move
away to the northeast on Tuesday, sunshine early will be replaced
by increasing clouds during the afternoon as low pressure
approaches from the Tennessee Valley.

Rain will overspread the region Tuesday evening and continue into
Wednesday morning. The rain should change to snow well inland, and
may mix with snow closer to the coast. Drier and somewhat colder
air will move in behind the departing low for Wednesday afternoon
and night.
