National Weather Service New York NY
330 PM EDT Mon Oct 24 2016

With low pressure in Eastern Canada and high pressure in the
Upper Midwest a strong pressure gradient will be in place across
the region. This will result in windy conditions through Tuesday.
As high pressure slows builds into the region our weather will
remain dry with below normal temperatures into the mid week.

Temperatures for tonight turn sharply colder with lows in the
lower and middle 40s across New York City and the immediate
coast, with middle to upper 30s elsewhere. Highs on Tuesday will
only reach the lower and middle 50s in most places. The coldest
readings of the season are expected for Tuesday night into
Wednesday. Widespread 30s are expected by Wednesday morning, with
a few upper 20s well inland. Temperatures will only recover into
the upper 40s to lower 50s by Wednesday afternoon.
