A very warm and humid and unsettled airmass will exist over the
region today into Saturday.

Showers and isolated thunderstorms are likely this morning
into early afternoon with the passage of an upper level
disturbance. Additional isolated to scattered shower and
thunderstorm activity is possible late today into this
evening...mainly north and west of New York City. An isolated
storm strong to severe storm is possible today.

More numerous showers and thunderstorms are likely to work
through the region late tonight into Saturday morning in
association with a slow moving cold front. There is a threat for
flash flooding in the path of a low pressure wave tracking along
this front. Uncertainty exists on the exact track of this wave at
this it could be anywhere from the Northern Mid-Atlantic
to Southern New England.

Temps today will generally range from the lower to mid 80s
today...and mid to upper 80s on Saturday. Temperatures across the
New York City and New Jersey metro could be a few degrees warmer.
