Clouds will begin to increase tonight as an area of low pressure
approaches the area from the southwest. As this low passes south
of the region light rain will develop across the area Monday
morning before quickly coming to an end by evening. While the best
chances for any rain will be across Long Island and southeastern
Connecticut, any precipitation that falls further inland may
initially mix with snow before becoming all rain by mid morning.
Temperatures on Monday will be in the low to mid 40s, around 10
degrees below normal for this time of year.

High pressure then builds to the west on Tuesday, resulting in dry
conditions and moderating temperatures, with highs around 50. Lows
on both Monday and Tuesday night will range from the upper 20s
across typically cooler interior locations to around 40 in the
