...Fall-like Weather Finally On Its Way...

A cold front will slowly approach from the west today. This
places the region in a warm and humid airmass. Showers are likely
this morning from the New York City Metropolitan Area north into
Western Connecticut. Much of this shower activity should shift
east to eastern Long Island and eastern Connecticut this
afternoon. More showers will move in from the west towards

Temperatures will rise into the 70s today.

Relatively mild tonight as the showers continue to pass across
the region. The cold front will move through late tonight as low
pressure starts to take shape near Cape Cod. This low will
intensify on Saturday as it drifts north towards Canada. Westerly
wind will increase across our region on Saturday and are forecast
to gust to 40 mph in the afternoon. Moisture wrapping around the
low will bring some passing light showers...especially in the
morning. Temperatures will hold or fall slight during the day in
the 50s.

Cool and windy conditions continue on Sunday...but with dry
weather under sunny skies.
