Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
400 AM EDT Fri May 19 2017

We have one more day of well above normal temperatures today
before a return to seasonable levels this weekend. A cold front
will move through the Tri State area this afternoon, and this may
trigger a shower or thunderstorm in a few spots. High
temperatures will average around 20 degrees above normal, and few
records might be tied or broken.

High pressure builds in from Canada behind the departing cold
front tonight and settles over the region this weekend. This will
bring drier and cooler conditions through the period, and high
temperatures will end up a few degrees below normal both days of
the weekend.
