SOUTHERN CT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW YORK NY
330 AM EST SUN FEB 7 2016

...A PERIOD OF UNSETTLED WINTRY WEATHER EXPECTED THROUGH MID WEEK...

HIGH PRESSURE WILL PROVIDE PLENTY OF SUNSHINE TODAY...ALONG WITH
SLIGHTLY ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES. THIS HIGH WILL GIVE WAY TO AN
INTENSIFYING AREA OF LOW PRESSURE TONIGHT INTO MONDAY. THE LOW IS
FORECAST TO PASS WELL TO THE SOUTH AND EAST OF THE AREA.

SNOW IS POSSIBLE LATE TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY...ESPECIALLY ACROSS
PORTIONS OF LONG ISLAND AND SOUTHEAST CONNECTICUT.

THEREAFTER...UNSETTLED WEATHER WITH TIMES OF LIGHT SNOW CAN BE
EXPECTED THROUGH MID WEEK AS ANOTHER AREA OF LOW PRESSURE PASSES
SOUTH OF THE AREA...AND A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE REMAINS
NEARBY TUESDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

IN GENERAL...EXPECT TIMES OF SNOW FROM LATE MONDAY THROUGH
TUESDAY...AND INTO WEDNESDAY. THE SNOW SHOULD BE LIGHT MOST OF THE
TIME WHEN IT DOES FALL. HOWEVER...CANNOT COMPLETELY RULE OUT TIMES
OF MODERATE SNOW TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY.

PLEASE STAY TUNED TO THE LATEST FORECASTS FOR ANY FURTHER UPDATES
OR CHANGES.
