Weather Summary for the local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
349 AM EDT THU AUG 18 2016

A weak area of low pressure will pass south of Long Island this
morning. This will bring a few showers to most of the Tri-State
Region. After some clearing this afternoon, showers and
thunderstorms may develop into this evening, with mainly
isolated coverage expected at this time. High temperatures are
forecast to be close to normal for this time of year.

Fair weather can generally be expected on Friday with high
pressure building along the eastern seaboard. There is a chance
that a few showers and thunderstorms develop in the afternoon and
early evening. Temperatures will trend upwards into the mid and
upper 80s, with perhaps a few 90 degree readings along the urban
corridor of northeastern New Jersey.
