Weak low pressure passes southeast of Long Island today and
farther out into the Atlantic tonight into Tuesday. High pressure
will then briefly build into the region Tuesday night into early
Wednesday before weakening for the rest of Wednesday as a cold
front approaches from the west.

Light rain will move in today and for this morning could
potentially mix with some light snow north and west of New York
City. All precipitation is expected to be light rain this
afternoon and this will eventually taper off from west to east.
Mainly dry conditions are forecast thereafter through Wednesday
outside of some showers across Eastern Long Island and Southeast
Connecticut Tuesday with an upper level disturbance moving across.
High temperatures stay mainly in the 40s during the day today and
Tuesday, getting more in the upper 40s to lower 50s Wednesday.
